Late Summer Trip to Idaho 2009

Come with me for a trip down memory lane...

A week after school started last year, we pulled the kids out for a week-long trip to Idaho. We had glorious times picking huckleberries, playing with cousins, going to the cabin, feeding the fish in the crystal clear waters of Big Springs, and taking the boys for their first visit to Yellowstone.

As we left Idaho to return to Colorado, we drove through Soda Springs. It was named for the springs of naturally carbonated water in the area. As we drove there, we wondered why no one had ever bottled the water and gotten rich. We got to a spring, dipped our bottle in, raised it to our lips, drank the natural water, and spat it all back out. Yeccch! There is a lot of iron in those springs! All these months later, I can still remember the taste quite well. All spring water is not created equal. The playground there, however, might be worth a return visit.

Check out the slide show for pictures of our adventures.
