Our New House!

OK...it's not exactly ours yet. However, after looking at over 70 houses (I know, I am so much fun to work with), this is our choice. The home was built in 1972 and has 4 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs; main level includes family, living, and dining rooms. And there is an unfinished basement. All together, we get 1989 finished square feet. Right now my favorite thing is the fully-fenced backyard for the wild children to play in.

I'm also pretty thrilled about the elementary school less than 1/2 mile away. (I'm thrilled about the distance...not so much the architecture which appears to be something along the lines of prison minimalism. "Ooooh...let's save on an architect. Ed, see if you can borrow the plans from that low-security building the county just built. If we give the doors and awning some nice color, the children won't notice they're attending school in a building made entirely of concrete with very few windows. And, of course, we don't need the chain link fence or razor-wire here...they're just children, not criminals...right?")

Here's the entrance to the subdivision. Pretty, huh?

We're looking at moving in the beginning of May. Which is good because baby, while due at the end of June, will probably show up about a month after we move.
