A Lovely Dinner Conversation
It started out as a perfectly fine dinner topic. Why was there water under the plastic wrap of the spaghetti I had just heated up in the microwave? (Yep, when Steve's out of town we enjoy fine dining.) I explained to the boys that there was water in the spaghetti and sauce that turned to steam when it was heated and then condensed at the top on the plastic wrap. Simple enough. End of discussion.
A few minutes later, Brett remarked that on a cold day, you could see steam rising from a compost pile. Very interesting, Brett.
Just a few minutes later, Alex, not to be outdone, piped up with this palatable addition: "Steam also rises from dung."
